Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Terminal Operator to join our team. This role involves multiple duties that require physical strength, attention to detail, and the ability to work in varied environmental conditions. The Terminal Operator will be responsible for handling silica material, packaging, and general maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
+ Attach large bags to a chute to catch silica material, operating a lever to control the volume to match the order. The bag is placed on a scale to show the weight.
+ Lift 50lb bags from a waist-high table and stack them on a pallet. Bags are produced every 30 seconds.
+ Seal and scan labels onto filled bags of material.
+ Drive a forklift after the first month of employment, with provided training.
+ Drive trucks into the facility (not on public roads) after the first month of employment, with provided training.
+ Perform general cleanup of workstations.
Essential Skills
+ General labor experience
+ Proficiency with hand tools
+ Experience in packing and packaging
+ Forklift operation
+ Loading and unloading
+ Experience in construction
+ Ability to consistently lift 50 lbs
+ Ability to get respirator fit
+ Experience in working in hot and cold environments
