About the Job
Accountable for the successful overall operation of a particular store. The General Manager is responsible for effectively directing, leading, controlling and measuring the results of a particular store in accordance with company culture, established policies, procedures, expectations and applicable federal, state, and local laws. This position requires a leader who will take ownership and personal responsibility for the growth and success of J.P. Operations, LLC, him/herself and the store’s team.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain inventory to manage food cost and provide customers with the quality products they want
- Establish, maintain and enforce consistently high performance standards and expectations
- Complete administrative duties including banking, daily and weekly paperwork, checklists, etc.
- Foster an environment where team members are valued and respected
- Recruit, select, train and supervise quality team members and recommend team members for management
- Responsible for correcting, disciplining and firing team members
- Project labor and sales costs
- Maximize profitability through management tools, policies and systems that enhance productivity and efficiency
- Develop a rapport with the store’s community and build sales through local marketing
- Implement action plans to achieve operational objectives and follow through to measure desired results
- Make daily decisions regarding time management
- Train, guide and lead other team members in company culture, procedures and expectations
- Responsible for positive store morale and team member retention
- Resolve customer issues in a timely fashion
- Must have a good energy and spirit of cooperation regarding company culture, values, policies and procedures
- Must understand the role each team member plays in building and maintaining customer loyalty
- Master and perform all store operations; answering the phone, preparing food, engaging with customers, etc.
- Maintain an excellent level of service that ensures treating customers with respect, dignity and courtesy
- Raise the bar or standard with each action, interaction and hiring decision
- Monitor timing of calls, production and delivery, with a drive to meet (and beat) customer promise times
- Maintain food safety by following company guidelines, federal, state and local law, and educating team members
- Maintain store presentation by meeting and/or exceeding company expectation and federal, state, and local law
- Understand the need to be detailed in personal appearance and hygiene
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Must have a high school diploma or GED and be at least 18 years of age
- Must have 1-5 years of management experience
- Ability to positively influence others and build relationships
- Ability to accomplish goals and tasks through delegation and priority management
- Ability to act decisively and take appropriate action
- Ability to adapt to and manage change
- Fundamental math and computer skills
- Fired up to handle day-to-day challenges in a fast paced work environment that may be stressful at times
- Willing to work 45-50 hours a week during days, evenings, weekends and varying shifts
- Access to reliable transportation/insurance
- Accessible during operating hours
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude under pressure, and always be honest and punctual
- Enjoys interacting with people
- Ability to relate to diverse backgrounds
- Good listening and communication skills – oral, written & body language
- May be required to lift up to 40 lbs.
