Job Summary: The General Manager is responsible for overseeing plant supply, production, and customer service operations, ensuring these align with business goals. This role emphasizes strategic planning, financial management, and operational excellence to meet manufacturing objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with EH&S programs
- Drive growth through process management and customer responsiveness
- Oversee production, quality control, and maintenance
- Utilize ERP and financial systems for performance reporting
- Manage budgets and control costs
- Plan and control production capacity and resources
- Optimize inventory and capacity against service commitments
- Implement quality and cost improvement programs
- Lead Kaizen and process improvement initiatives
- Develop and revise manufacturing policies and procedures
- Maintain employee engagement and positive relations
Skills and Abilities:
- Proven leadership in plant operations
- Experience with Lean manufacturing
- Strong computer and ERP skills
- Effective decision-making in a matrix environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
- 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing and operations in a plant management role
