Position offers a very competitive base compensation rate, call stipend and bonus structure.
4 days per week mix of clinic/OR and 1 weekend per month
Trauma Call – four 24-hour in-house call shifts and up to 4 back-up call shifts per month. (Back-up call is not in-house)
Boulder Community Health is seeking a General Surgeon to join a growing and evolving team to provide acute care surgery and trauma care. Our state-of-the-art facilities are equipped with the latest technology and staffed by highly experienced physicians and nurses to ensure you are receiving top-quality care. At BCH, we have two daVinci®Surgical Systems to aid our surgeons in surgical procedures for a variety of conditions.Our staff takes great pride in offering care that is individualized and compassionate. Qualifications
•5-10 years’ experience in general and trauma surgery.
Responsibilities
•Evaluate and advise patients on the risk involved with having surgery
•Perform surgical procedures to prevent or correct injury, disease, deformities and patient function while adhering to regulatory and ethical protocols
•Follow established surgical techniques during surgery
•Prescribe preoperative and postoperative treatment and procedures
•Direct and coordinate care for proper patient experience
•Oversee all treatment prior to and post-surgery, and identify associated risks
•Participate in a multidisciplinary case conference and peer review
•Member of a share practice model with 6 other surgeons and 6 APP's
