Government Solutions Sales Executive
What does a successful Government Sales Executive do at Fiserv?
As a Government Solutions Sales Executive, you will be you will be seeking out, developing, and selling Fiserv payment and eCommerce products and services and/or consulting services to public sector state and county agencies. The role is the lead for the Fiserv enterprise portfolio of payment processing solutions to and from the government. To be successful in this role, you will be required to have an in-depth understanding of the client’s business, goals, strategies and industry trends and directions as well as Fiserv solutions that address their requirements. This role will be responsible for the states of: Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin.
What you will do:
+ Provide strategic and consultative management to new clients in our government solutions vertical.
+ Prospect and close new Government accounts within an assigned geography, owning the sales representative role in RFPs through to contract signatures.
+ Build a territory plan, evaluate, and revise as required to maximize business opportunities.
+ Build business cases and deliver client proposals with solutions, financial justifications and expected results to overcome objections and win the business with maximum revenue and margin.
+ Travel Required: Ability to travel approximately 40%.
What you will need to have:
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
+ 7+ years of experience in sales and/or relationship management functions
+ Government and Public Sector sales, “C-Level” (CEO, CFO, COO) sales experience with a focus on solutions selling, and the ability to build and sustain relationships at a senior level, gaining client trusted advisor status
+ Experience w/ eCRM tools, tracking and reporting pipeline, and achieving sales targets
What would be great to have:
+ Prior experience of successfully working in a dynamic, matrix environment as well as in the acquiring and/ or payments industry
