Position Description:
The Grant & Housing Development Administrator (GHDA) is responsible for managing the financial control processes of grant activities and housing development projects throughout the grant lifecycle. This role ensures compliance with grant provisions, regulations, standards, timelines, and reporting requirements. The Grant & Housing Development Administrator monitors grant management and disbursement of funds, reviews grant programs for compliance, and prepares and submits financial reports. This position requires a background in understanding and completing budgets, as well as experience in housing and housing grants.
Performance Responsibilities and Standards:
1. Administer Grant Financial Control Processes:
• Manage financial control processes for awarded or received grants.
• Ensure compliance with grant provisions, regulations, standards, timelines, and reporting requirements.
• Follow grant accounting best practices and comply with legal regulations.
2. Monitor Grantee Management and Disbursement of Funds:
• Assist with grant management and disbursement of funds.
• Review grant programs for compliance with the terms of grants.
• Track and reconcile grant account budgets and expenses.
3. Prepare and Submit Financial Reporting:
• Prepare and submit financial reports for grant funding received.
• Provide any additional information or documentation required by the grant funder.
4. Budget Management:
• Develop and manage budgets for grant-funded projects.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial tracking and reconciliation of grant accounts.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
5. Expertise in Housing and Housing Grants:
• Apply specialized knowledge of housing and housing grants to the administration of relevant grant programs.
• Ensure compliance with housing grant regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with housing-related departments and stakeholders to optimize grant utilization.
• Support housing development projects through effective financial management and grant administration.
6. Communication and Collaboration:
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure effective grant and housing development management and compliance.
• Communicate with grant funders as necessary to provide updates and required information.
• Provide guidance and support on financial management and compliance.
7. Process Improvement:
• Continuously seek and implement process improvements for grant and housing development administration.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes.
8. Assist with Audit and Compliance Reviews:
• Assist with audits and compliance reviews as needed.
• Ensure all documentation and processes are in place for successful audits.
9. Training and Development:
• Provide training and development opportunities for staff involved in grant and housing development projects.
• Share knowledge and best practices to enhance team capabilities.
10. Other Duties:
• Perform other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, grant writing, business administration or a similar area of study required
• Nonprofit grant writing experience a must
• 2-3 years’ experience in grant administration or financial management
• Proven experience in understanding and completing budgets
• Background in housing and/or housing development is a plus
• Strong understanding of financial control process and/or grant accounting
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Excellent attention to detail with great organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
• Proficient in technology including computers, smart phone, tablet, and Microsoft Office suite
• Any relevant certifications in grant administration and/or housing development are a plus
Physical Requirements:
1. Ability to sit/stand 90% of the day.
2. Speaking/visual/hearing ability sufficient to comprehend and express written/verbal communication.

Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive Salary [This position is an S05-S06 Exempt position with a min-max rate of: $87,566 -$107,132] with:
