Job Summary
Group Exercise Instructors lead, instruct and motivate individuals or groups in various exercise activities, including cardiovascular workouts, strength and stretching. $20-$35/Hr
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, efficient and fun group fitness class to a diverse group of physical capabilities
- Come prepared and arrive 10-15 mins prior to start of class
- Encourages participants to reach their fitness and wellness goals
- Have their music cued and ready before class is scheduled to start
- Properly introduce themselves to the participants
- Record attendance on Group Ex Pro Instructor portal
- Ensure the safety and well-being of each participant
- Communicate with other staff and supervisor on GroupMe app
- Keeps up to date on safety and fitness trends
- Maintains a positive attitude for members and staff
- Post substitute request on Group Ex Pro in a timely manner
Requirements & Qualifications
- CPR, AED and First Aid certification
- Hold a nationally accredited group exercise certification
- Maintain proper certifications for all programs taught
- Must be comfortable in front of group and be able to motivate participants
- Ability to work with a diverse population and demonstrate an appreciation for individual capabilities
- Must download and use GroupMe app for all communication
- Must download and use Group Ex Pro Instructor Portal
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
