The Guest Experience Associate plays a crucial role in enhancing the visitor experience at the Performing Arts Center. This position involves delivering exceptional customer service, managing concession operations, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for guests. The ideal candidate will uphold center policies with a friendly and professional demeanor while actively contributing to the revenue generation and operational efficiency of the venue.
What you will be doing:
- Concession Operations:
- Set up, stock, and prepare concession areas before performances and events.
- Prepare and serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as prepackaged food to patrons.
- Verifying IDs to ensure compliance, process orders, and ensure accurate and efficient service.
- Adhere to sanitation guidelines and maintain cleanliness of concession areas.
- Monitor stock levels, recommend product orders, and run sales reports as needed.
- Prepare bank deposits, secure cash drawers, and close out concession areas at the end of shifts.
Guest Relations:
- Provide superior customer service, addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues with discretion and professionalism.
- Answer phones, provide information, and assist patrons with a positive attitude.
- Ensure all guests have an enjoyable experience and assist to enhance their visit.
Operational Support:
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the Performing Arts Center, ensuring a pleasant environment for all visitors.
- Assist with setup and teardown for events, as well as any other duties required for smooth operation.
- Ticket Sales:
- Sell tickets to patrons for live theatre performances, in-person and over-the-phone through the Theatre's current ticket system.
- Assist customers with selecting seats, processing transactions and issuing tickets
- Handle cash, credit card transactions accurately and securely.
Our Ideal Candidate Has: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally and courteously. Demonstrated ability to interact positively with a diverse range of people in a varied work environment. Ability to learn and use complex computer programs and equipment. Regularly required to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds, stand or sit for extended periods, and work efficiently in a busy setting. Must be over 21 years of age due to handling of alcoholic beverages.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to read computer screens and process orders accurately.
- Capable of standing or sitting for extended periods, up to six hours.
