JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Gathers patient information for emergency room patients in the functional areas of admissions, discharges, insurance verification and emergency room treatment records.
Job Summary:
The HR Administrative Assistant provides essential support to the Human Resources department, performing a variety of administrative and clerical duties. This role ensures the smooth operation of HR functions, including recruitment support, employee record maintenance, onboarding, and assisting with employee inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clerical and Administrative Support:
- Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and other communications for the HR department.
- Schedule meetings, interviews, and appointments.
- Prepare and distribute HR-related documents, including memos, reports, and presentations.
- Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Post job openings on job boards and the company's careers page.
- Screen resumes, schedule interviews, and communicate with candidates.
- Assist in preparing offer letters, employment contracts, and onboarding packages.
- Support new hire orientation and onboarding processes by preparing documents, coordinating orientations, and assisting with benefits enrollment.
- Manage offboarding procedures, including exit interviews and final paperwork.
- Answer employee inquiries regarding benefits, policies, and payroll.
- Assist with benefits enrollment and administration.
- Gather timesheet data for payroll processing and ensure accuracy.
- Maintain and organize HR records in both electronic and paper formats.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Assist with audits and reporting requirements.
- Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related questions or issues.
- Assist in coordinating employee events, recognition programs, and wellness initiatives.
- Provide support for HR initiatives such as performance management, training, and diversity programs.
- Assist in organizing HR events like company training, meetings, or workshops.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in an administrative role; experience in HR is an advantage.
- Familiarity with HR software (HRIS systems) and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices is a plus.
