Job Description
Renewance is hiring an HR Business Partner to play a critical role in ensuring a safe, compliant, and high-performing workforce by supporting employee relations, compliance, recruitment, and HR initiatives. This role focuses on maintaining a work environment that cultivates the Renewance culture and helps our people get the most out of their work.
You will be responsible for managing and reporting HR metrics, establishing employee engagement and retention programs, maintaining employee records, and ensuring the company adheres to federal, state, and local employment regulations. The HR Business Partner will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including leadership teams, to coach and advise on employee management, organizational policies, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations:
- Respond to employee inquiries, provide assistance based on company policies, and assist management with employee relations and performance management.
Staffing & Recruitment:
- Ensure adequate staffing by conducting recruitment activities according to company guidelines. Provide thorough orientation and onboarding for new hires.
Engagement & Retention:
- Develop employee engagement and retention initiatives for local and distributed employees.
Disciplinary Procedures:
- Coordinate and participate in disciplinary and termination meetings. Maintain proper documentation.
HR Metrics & Reporting:
- Complete HR metrics reporting and maintain accurate employee records in SAP.
Policy Compliance:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state and federal employment laws and ensure organizational compliance with all applicable regulations.
Additional Duties:
- Assist in developing and implementing personnel policies, updating employee handbooks, and performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or another related field
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience in HR or a closely related field
- Experience with staffing and recruiting processes
- Strong verbal, written, critical thinking and interpersonal skills
- Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- ERP or HRIS experience
- Experience coaching / counseling across levels and functions
- Tact, confidentiality, diplomacy, and ability to influence without direct authority
- Experience successfully managing projects and programs
- Strong team work skills with experience collaborating with cross functional team.
Location
- The position is based at Renewance HQ (321 W. Lake St Elmhurst, IL 60126)
- Occasional travel to customer project sites and Renewance facilities is expected.
