About the Job
The HR Generalist reports to the Director of Programs for Akima Technical Solutions. This person serves as consultant/partner to both the senior leaders and management teams for an assigned project/location on Human Resources-related matters, with the goal of aligning best HR practices to business strategies. The HR Generalist will collaborate with Shared Services departments to deliver solutions that address the needs of all assigned employees. The functions listed describe the business purpose of this job. Specific duties or tasks may vary and be documented separately. Additional duties may be assigned, and functions may be modified, according to business necessity. All assigned duties or tasks are deemed to be part of the essential functions, unless such duties or tasks are unrelated to the functions listed, in which case they are deemed to be other (non-essential) functions.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct new Employee Orientation that include in-processing, covering all aspects of benefits, timekeeping, ethic training, safety training and any other admin functions that a new employee should be informed of after being hired.
+ Must be able to write and brief employees, and interface with the staff at the corporate level that provides daily support.
+ Collects and analyzes HR data and then makes recommendation to management.
+ Conduct Opening Enrollment Briefing for all Salaried and SCA Employees highlighting all the benefits costs for Medical, Dental and Vision, and informing employees of the Open and Closed dates for the Opening Enrollment period.
+ Upon approval from the Program Manager, post Requisitions in the Taleo System and coordinate with Corporate Human Resources.
+ Review Bi-Weekly payroll reports.
+ Review Timesheets in multiple systems.
+ Assist the Program Manager in managing all pay inquiries, ensuring employees both CONUS and OCONUS are paid accurately and correctly each pay period.
+ Assist the Sr. Program Manager with administering all Akima Policies and Procedures to employees, ensuring employees adhere and abide by set Policies and Procedures.
+ Work with the Prime Contractor’s Task Order Manager in issuing Labor Charge Code when a new Task Order is started, or a current Task Order is issued. Upon receipt, coordinate with Corporate to ensure new Labor Charge Code are entered correctly to ensure accurate billing.
+ Submit CAC request to approving officials.
+ Assist with end of year OSHA Logs.
+ Assist Project Control/Billing with all timesheet and labor hour issues.
+ Review and process leave request forms (Leave without Pay, Military Leave, Jury Duty, Bereavement).
+ Assist with OCONUS Benefits and allowances (LQA, COLA, Letter of Authorizations).
+ Communicate with German Payroll company to process German taxes, Insurance issues, end of year statements, salary changes.
+ Control spreadsheets for merit, updating weekly with salary changes, position changes, promotions/demotions.
+ Conduct and process out-processing documents (Exit Checklist and Survey).
+ Communicate with Security officer for visitor’s request.
+ Communicate Prime Contractor Task Order Managers providing biweekly and monthly rosters, weekly timesheet review and/or corrections as needed, assist with sub-property receipts, provide new hire and termination information, update DASI database weekly, and communicate with prime contractor HR, ESH, and TO Managers on new/updated requirements.
Qualifications
+ Must be a U.S. citizen.
+ BA.
+ Have at least 3-5 years of experience as an HR Generalist/Specialist.
+ Applicant must be extremely knowledgeable on the Deltek and True Time Timekeeping System and Projects Management (PLC/GLC Billing Codes), and other financial data that is used to manage and track financial data for a Task Order.
+ Applicant must have Payroll experience.
+ Applicant must also have some knowledge of Workforce Autotime Timekeeping System that is used to track labor hours charged to specific Task Orders.
+ Applicant must have some knowledge of Defense Information System for Security (DISS).
+ Must have knowledge of the Synchronized Pre-deployment & Operational Tracker (SPOT).
+ Applicant must have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
+ Able to Obtain SECRET clearance or higher.
Desired Qualifications:
+ Former Military or Contractor experience preferred.
