Talent Masters is excited to partner with a dynamic and successful law firm in Miami, Florida, that is seeking its first HR Manager to establish and lead their HR department. This is a unique opportunity for a highly independent and proactive professional to build HR processes and policies from the ground up in a fast-paced, highly professional environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working as a one-person HR team initially and capable of setting up robust practices in benefits administration, recruiting, payroll, employee relations, policy development, and performance management.
Role Description:
As the HR Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all HR operations and establishing best practices that align with the firms growth goals. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will have the autonomy to develop and implement HR initiatives, including recruitment processes, employee onboarding, benefits management, payroll, and performance management systems. A strategic partner in driving the firms culture, you will also play a key role in enhancing employee relations, promoting engagement, and fostering an inclusive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to support the firms vision and growth.
- Oversee recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes to attract top talent.
- Administer employee benefits and manage open enrollment and broker collaboration.
- Handle payroll processing and ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support managers with performance management, feedback, and training.
- Serve as the main point of contact for employee relations and conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent) required.
- 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in a law firm or similar professional services environment (law firm experience preferred but not required).
- Proven experience in benefits administration, recruiting, payroll management, policy development, and employee relations.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
