Ballard Spahr LLP, a national law firm with more than 500 attorneys in 15 offices, seeks an HRIS Analyst to use firm technology to improve business productivity. The chosen candidate will act as a subject matter expert in business process configuration, security, reporting, and integration development. They should have a working knowledge of all Workday modules, including but not limited to Recruiting and Onboarding, HCM, Benefits, Time and Absence, Payroll, and Advance Compensation.
The HRIS Analyst will need strong business analysis, development, critical thinking skills, and highly efficient problem-solving abilities. This position will involve implementing and maintaining Workday initiatives; supporting upgrades and user acceptance testing, and providing other technical and process-related support as required. The position is part of the HRIS team and is expected to work collaboratively with all functional areas of the Human Resources and Payroll departments.
Applicants should have the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and analyze current electronic resources to make sound recommendations for efficient solutions. Excellent organizational, communication, good judgment, and problem-solving skills are necessary, along with the ability to maintain the confidentiality of data and exercise discretion. A strong business ethic is also required.
A minimum of 3 years of Workday business process and configuration responsibility with demonstrated integration knowledge and strong custom reporting experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment. Knowledge of other reporting tools, such as SQL Reporting Services and/or PowerBi dashboard reporting and analytics tools, is a plus. A strong level of proficiency with Excel and a working knowledge of human resources processes. Experience with HRIS applications preferred. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
