BWXT is currently seeking a HT QCDI Engineer for its Lynchburg, VA location!
Job Description/Duties:
- Serves as liaison between engineers, inspectors, and customers.
- Generates functional specifications for inspection programming support.
- Assists automated inspection system programmers by generating the optimal inspection and analysis report.
- Ensures compliance to contract specifications (contract, drawing, etc.)
- Participates in determining solutions for corrective actions.
- Produces document changes in procedures, operating procedures, QSPs and QWIs.
- Designs and edits inspection forms as necessary.
- Utilizes Change Management Tools and Systems.
- Prioritizes and coordinates multiple engineering activities.
- Performs process monitoring as needed.
- Evaluates situations and/or modifications, including selecting and applying standard engineering techniques, procedures, design criteria, and professional judgment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications/Requirements:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university is required. Internal candidates with a Physics Degree who are already on the Engineering Ladder are also eligible.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience is required.
- Must possess general understanding of programming and systems supporting inspections.
- Must be able to establish good working relationships with customers and employees.
- Must be highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
- Must be able to demonstrate superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is required as well as the ability to work independently.
- Must be a US Citizen with no dual citizenship.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.
