General Description
Under general supervision, performs highly skilled tasks in the maintenance of buildings, equipment, electrical systems, etc. focusing on HVAC. The position is full time Monday-Friday day shift.
Essential Functions
- Maintain and provide support for the HVAC systems
- Analyze malfunctions of HVAC devices and controls
- Work with engineers and others to resolve problems on projects
- Assist with ensuring compliance with all environmental regulations
- Maintain knowledge of: HVAC equipment and procedures, mechanical equipment such as pumps, gear reducers, mixers, compressors and vacuum pumps, conveyors and hydraulic equipment, rollers, bearings, and valves, the functions and mechanics of facility equipment and machinery and of routine and emergency service and maintenance/operational requirements, plumbing and pipe fitting, arc welding, oxyacetylene gas welding and cutting, and soldering, building repair such as lighting, electrical, doors, locks, sump pumps, etc.
- Maintain ability to: comprehend and make inferences from written materials such as operations/maintenance manuals, and HVAC manuals, read and interpret drawings, specifications, and blueprints and interpolate from incomplete information.
- Maintain HVAC operation and maintenance manuals and drawings
Qualifications
- Commericial HVAC experience
- EPA certification
- Solid electrical and mechanical skills
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more to chest height
- Must be computer literate and able to utilize Microsoft Office Suite
