About the Job
Waits on customers and solicits additional sales; creates sales orders and purchase orders and makes necessary entries to the customer database; distributes special order parts; receives warranty parts; maintains shelf stock.
Principal Responsibilities:
• Greets customers promptly and courteously
• Answers telephone promptly and courteously
• Properly identifies needed parts and pricing using computer and catalogs
• Fills customer’s needs for non-stock merchandise
• Receives warranty parts and properly tags and photographs the defective items for
manufacturer’s reimbursement
• Contributes information for stock orders
• Puts away received parts in proper bins and locations
• Performs other tasks as required
Qualifications and Job Requirements:
• Maintains a neat and professional appearance
• Maintains a consistent attendance record
• Ability to speak and listen effectively one on one
• Ability to interpret customer needs
• Understanding of basic computer skills
• Recipient of high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Possesses good organizational skills
Physical Demands:
• Must be able to spend hours sitting and using office equipment and computers
• Must have the stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions and distractions
• Must be able to frequently perform lifting and carrying of heater components weighing up to
100 pounds, with assistance from co-workers
• Must be able to complete tasks that may require bending and heavy lifting
• Must be able to withstand working in various conditions including cold and heat, and
indoor/outdoor settings including warehouse, office and outside of building
