Additionally this role oversees a small team of Service Technicians in the day-to-day activities of the project while achieving lowest cost, adequate schedule, high quality and safety goals set by management.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESProvide routine maintenance and repair service for equipment at customers siteDiagnosing operating problems and determining solution for repair on HVAC equipmentThe HVAC Service Technician Supervisor will exhibit proficiency in servicing, troubleshooting, repairing and cleaning of heating and cooling equipment and related systems (i.e., Boiler, forced air, hydronic, split systems, package units, make up air and exhaust systems, controls).Communicate with customers regarding diagnosis and resolution of operating problems with HVAC equipmentPerforms repairs, overhauls, and start-ups of commercial boiler and HVAC systemsUses a variety of hand tools, following blueprints, wiring diagrams, piping schemes or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair unitsPerforms preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work, as necessaryMaintains vehicles by keeping records of service manuals, scheduling, and completing repairs and maintenance service.Provides after hours, on-call service when scheduledDocuments work by completing paperwork including labor records, materials used and resolutions in accordance with company standards on each job and maintaining files in a timely and accurate mannerCommunicates on a daily basis with administrative team on activities and workKeeps all current manufacturers' products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair documentationProvides technical support to customers and fellow IMS team membersAttends additional training offered by manufacturer’s and in-house personnelFlexibility to work overtime/weekends, as requiredQUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEA minimum of four (5) years' experience as an HVAC Technician and experience leading a team.WORKING CONDITIONSMoving Mechanical Parts: Employees are regularly near machinery that is in operation.Outside Weather Conditions: Work is often performed outdoors, exposing employees to the elements.Wet and Humid Conditions: Frequently encountered, indicating work in environments with high moisture levels.High, Precarious Places: Tasks may involve working at significant heights.Extreme Temperatures: Exposure to both very hot and very cold conditions is common.Fumes and Airborne Particles: Potential exposure to harmful particles that could affect respiratory health.Toxic or Caustic Chemicals: Risk of coming into contact with dangerous chemicals.Electrical Shock: Possibility of encountering situations where electrical safety is a concern.Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Will be provided to mitigate risks, alongside adherence to standard safety procedures.High Noise Levels: The environment is usually very loud, indicating the need for hearing protection.
