PERL, PYTHON a plusWork closely with engineering technicians to devise and monitor tests for troubleshooting problemIdentify rework needed to isolate and/or repair problemsThe day-to-daySupport multiple networking communication products currently in production and future Next Generator products.Your responsibilities will include: becoming familiar with the technical design of multiple product lines and working with team members to address a variety of issues, leading efforts to troubleshoot technical issues from production and the field, leading qualification efforts for component changes including updating schematics and design information, aiding the transition of prototype units to low rate initial production, implementing board level design changes through schematics, CAD support, and board checkout.What you'll needBachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering5+ years hardware design or sustaining experienceFoundational knowledge of analog and digital logic and timing considerationsMust be able to prioritize, be detail oriented, and have history of managing time well to accomplish multiple tasks in parallelAbility to work independently, take initiative, take ownership of tasks and resultUS citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearanceAbility to travel up to 10%What will help you on the jobStrong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work with a temporally and geographically diverse teamAbility to document and report on technical solutions/findingsGood working knowledge of MS Office products for documentation creation and modificationFamiliarity with standard test equipment (i.e., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzer, power supplies, etc.)Familiarity with production related processes and common failure modesHigh aptitude for learning new thingsDesire to be part of a multidisciplinary team to evaluate and troubleshoot production related issuesSalary range$132,200.00 - $230,000.00 / annually At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience
Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience
