They are seeking a talented Hardware Engineer to join their team at their Torrance, CA office to contribute to the development of their next-generation products.
Job Description:
Position Overview: As a Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of hardware components for a range of household products. This role requires expertise in PCB design, with a particular focus on utilizing Altium. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the hardware components meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test hardware components, focusing on PCB design using Altium.
- Collaborate with product designers, firmware engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate hardware components with firmware and software systems.
- Develop and optimize circuit designs to meet product specifications and performance requirements.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of hardware designs, including schematics, PCB layouts, and bill of materials (BOM).
- Conduct design reviews, simulations, and testing to validate and verify hardware performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues during the development and production phases.
- Work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure smooth production and assembly of hardware components.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in PCB design tools, electronics, and hardware engineering practices.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of hardware design processes and methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in hardware engineering with a focus on PCB design.
- Proficiency in PCB design tools, with specific experience using Altium Designer.
- Strong understanding of electronic components, circuit design, and hardware testing methodologies.
- Experience with hardware-firmware integration and troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience in consumer electronics or household products is a plus.
