Job Duration: 8 Months on W2 (with possible extension)
Typical Day in the Role
Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is Azure Cloud hardware.
Key projects: This role will contribute to Azure Cloud hardware lab work.
Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: Setup and testing of datacenter power systems.

Summary: The main function of a "Lab Technician, Hardware 3" is to support the testing and development of computer-related equipment for datacenter applications.
Job Responsibilities:
" Execute tests on data center compute and power hardware.
" Assemble and modify existing pieces of equipment to meet special needs.
" Build, test, and modify product prototypes using working models or theoretical models constructed with computer simulation.
" Monitor functioning of equipment and make necessary modifications to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications.
" Confer with engineering staff and consult specifications to evaluate interface between hardware and software and operational and performance requirements of overall system.
" Provide training and support to system designers and users.
Basic Skills:
" Good verbal and written communication skills.
" Analytical and problem-solving ability.
" Team player and detail oriented.
" Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
Technical Skills:
" Lab equipment proficiency - candidate should know how to use all power lab equipment with minimal to no supervision including (but not limited to): oscilloscopes, DMMs, DC loads, AC sources, logic probes, power analyzers, and serial analyzers (e.g. Aardvark, Beagle)
" Candidate should have a background in either power and/or embedded systems with experience debugging hardware and firmware
" Familiar with serial protocols including I2C, UART, and SPI
" Experience with or knowledge of data center systems
" Candidate should be able to be delegated lab work tasks leveraging above items with minimal to no supervision

1. Minimum 5-7years experience with Lab Technician Experience
2. Minimum 5-7 years experience with Hardware/Data Center Experience
3. Minimum 5-7 years experience with Ability to assemble hardware and solder hardware
