Hazmat Supervisor
Position Summary
Ambipar Response is an environmental service company with multiple facilities and global locations. We have an opening for a working role as Hazmat Supervisor in our office to become an integral part of our team! You will coordinate and oversee emergency hazmat response and scheduled industrial service projects.
Position Details
Reports to: Regional Vice President
Location: Commerce City, Colorado
Position Type: Regular, Full-Time
FLSA Status: Exempt
Work Location - Onsite
Travel: 25% - 50%
Essential Job Functions
Ensure the professional and timely performance of projects. Ensure accurate and timely completion and submittal of required project documentation, including, but not limited to, the following:
Work tickets - same day
Health and safety plans - daily
Job information sheets - daily
Manifests and bills of lading- as required
Photographs - daily
ER Reports - by the next business day
Expenses - copy and turn in daily with a work ticket
Expense Reports - turn in weekly
Work orders - as needed
Contracts - as needed
Updates to project status board - daily
Ensure that each project complies with CES safety guidelines and standard operating procedures (must learn and understand safety guidelines and SOP’s)
Increase personal knowledge through attendance in scheduled training sessions and the proficiency of assigned operations personnel through on the job training.
Ensure the company can deliver the highest level of service to the customer through project staffing and equipment selection that adhere to the required project scope.
Ensure that each assigned project meets the targeted gross profit goal and complies with bid documents Through effective supervision and on-site project management.
Responsible for all aspects of on-site project management/supervision to include:
Planning
Regulatory Compliance
Execution
SAFETY
Contract Compliance
Project documentation
Profit / Loss
Vendor Invoice Approval
Responsible for the project management/oversight of all projects including but not limited to the following: waste disposal, verification of vendor invoices, review invoices before submission to customer, ensure all rental equipment is taken off rent upon completion of project.
Responsible for cost minimization practices with regard to the purchasing of overhead and billable items and must have prior approval from the president or director of operations.
Ensure that additional work is not performed unless a work modification order is initiated and identify any additional services that CES can provide.
It is required to assist the company in creating future job opportunities for CES.
Other duties as assigned, based on the changing needs of the company.
Ensure all periodic and scheduled maintenance/inspections are completed in accordance with company provided timelines.
Accurate and timely delivery of project estimating documentation, project reports, project specific invoicing and all supplemental documents.
Ensure timely performance of assigned projects and ensure that overall target project profitability goals are achieved.
Ensure that adequate employee development is maintained through continuous on the job training.
Ensure all employees comply with required training, physicals, etc.
Maintain positive employee and customer satisfaction as required
Advanced Criteria
Develop a working understanding of the estimating and proposal development process.
Thorough knowledge of all federal, state and local guidelines (OSHA, CDPHE, CDH, DSHS)
Develop fundamental business knowledge related to CES estimating, project gross profit goals and PSL net profit goals.
Proficiency in using basic computer programs involving word processing and estimating spreadsheets.
