Head of Wholesale Solutions, Excess CasualtyChicago, IL I New York, NY I Los Angeles, CA I USAAt this level the leader, manages, maintains and develops an Underwriting unit to profitably achieve Wholesale Solutions Excess Casualty strategic and financial objectives in compliance with established policies and guidelines
This includes the underwriting of Lead Umbrella and Excess Liability with capacity up to $25 million for risks segmented within the Wholesale sector serving our trading wholesale partnersThey will also manage across the three regions East, Central and West to meet P&L budgetary requirements and performance metrics for the unit supporting the overall Wholesale Insurance Objectives.This individual must possess broad technical expertise across many classes of business and may handle risks within the territory. They should also have and maintain extensive contacts with the wholesale broker network nationally as a core requirement. This leader will directly lead a team of Underwriters and team leads and coordinate with support staff facilitating professional development of skills, knowledge and competencies across the unit.The Head of AXA XL Wholesale Solutions Excess will be part of the Leadership team and is involved in setting the overall casualty strategy development of new product areas and expansion of UW teams to align with the overall growth goals for the unit
