Job Description:
As a Billing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health of our client's facility. You will be responsible for submitting claims to all insurance carriers, and posting cash payments. The role also involves following up on unpaid claims, completing month-end processes, and conducting reviews with the business office manager. The ideal candidate will have experience with UB04 forms and a stable work history in billing, preferably in healthcare. You will oversee a team of 5-7 accounts receivables representatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Submit claims to all insurance carriers/payers.
- Post cash for all payments received for claims.
- Follow up on claims that didn’t pay but were expected to pay.
- Complete month-end processes to ensure accurate financial records.
- Monitor age, trial, and balance for claims and follow up as needed.
- Conduct monthly reviews with managers to update on every account.
- Conduct one-on-one's with staff, respond to questions
- Train, develop, and retain new representatives
- Participate in meetings with the senior leadership
Requirements:
- Stability in work experience.
- Billing experience, ideally in healthcare.
- Experience with UB04 forms is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in using PointClickCare EMR for billing and clinical purposes
