About the Job
1 Resource Group is currently hiring for a Shop Mechanic with a focus on heavy equipment. As a Shop Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing equipment to ensure they are in proper working condition.
Responsibilities:
- Performing routine maintenance tasks, including changing oil, checking fluids, and lubricating parts
- Diagnosing mechanical issues and performing necessary repairs on diesel and gas engines
- Inspecting Tool and Rental equipment systems and components to identify any issues or malfunctions
- Using diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot
- Repairing or replacing faulty parts and components as needed
- Performing preventative maintenance on diesel and gas engines to ensure optimal performance and lifespan
- Keeping accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed
- Adhering to safety protocols and regulations at all times
- Collaborating with team members and other departments to ensure efficient and effective operations
- Continuously updating knowledge and skills related to diesel vehicle maintenance and repair
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in diagnosing and repairing tools and rental equipment
- Strong knowledge of forklifts, generators, trailers, handheld tool.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Ability to interpret repair manuals and technical specifications
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing work environment
