Job Details
As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, your general responsibilities will be to perform daily maintenance inspections, service, and repair construction equipment. This includes Skid Loaders, Wheel Loaders, Pavers, Milling Machines, Rollers Scrapers, Excavators, Compaction Equipment, and various Asphalt Paving Equipment.
· The Mechanic must perform daily maintenance checks to assess and repair heavy equipment failure.
· Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections on the equipment and prepare/maintain inspection and maintenance records.
· Lubricating components.
· Servicing hydraulic systems.
· Track and transmission maintenance.
Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
Graduation from an accredited technical school in diesel engine preferred
4-5 years experience working on heavy equipment, engine, or electric power generation system repair
