The position will work in theNY Public Works market generating bid estimates for the HM Construction Division along with project management responsibilities. This position will report directly to the Senior Area Construction Manager.This position is located in Jamesville, NY.

The position will work in theNY Public Works market generating bid estimates for the HM Construction Division along with project management responsibilities. This position will report directly to the Senior Area Construction Manager.This position is located in Jamesville, NY.
What you’ll get to do
- Estimating and bidding construction projects for the NY Construction market
- Set up schedules, purchase orders, subcontracts, and contract documents for project execution
- Monitor budget and cost reports and research where changes may be appropriate
- Ensure payments to various project vendors and subcontractors
- Verification of final contract quantities with the customer, client, or government agency, particularly the Department of Transportation
- Collaborate with the Environmental and Health & Safety departments to ensure all laws and regulations are met
- Establish, lead, and maintain safe working environments for all
Essential Experience and Skills
- Bachelor's or Associate’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management or relevant discipline or at least 8 years of on the job work experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Role operates in a construction environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions
