Histotechnologist - Switch4 LLC

Location: West Reading, PA

Job Type: FTE/Permanent

Monday -Friday 5AM-1:30PM; Rotating On-Call Weekends (Including Possible Saturday Rush Cases)

• Under general supervision, the Histotechnologist is responsible for:
• Preparing microscopic slides for diagnostic purposes.
• Performing diagnostic tests.
• Maintaining laboratory equipment and records.
• Providing instruction and being a resource to others. Possessing a working knowledge and theory of histologic techniques Immunohistochemistry and Special Stain techniques and histology automation
• Possessing excellent knowledge of the AP LIS system.

• Education Requirements2 years/associate degree - OR - combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of associate degree

Experience:

• Experience Cutting, Grossing, and Embedding Required
• IHC Experience Preferred

Certification and Licensure:

• Non-traditional routes to established skill level may be accepted after a review of education and experience.
• ASCP-HT (must be obtained within one year of hire)
