Responsibilities:| Observes and reports changes in patient symptoms and behaviors to the Registered Nurse in order to make necessary changes to the care plan. Responds to verbal and nonverbal communication from psychiatric patients in order to communicate empathetically and meet needs. Facilitates patient educational groups. Provides patient care as delegated by the Registered Nurse as follows: vital signs, capillary blood glucose, EKG, transports patients via wheelchair/stretcher (without EKG monitoring), bathes, turns, and repositions patients, assists with ambulation of patients, assists with meeting elimination needs. Performs other duties as assigned. |

Required: High School Diploma

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required: Nurse Aide I ; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
