Precious Home Healthcare LLC is seeking full-time and part-time Home Health Aides to join our team in providing assigned functions of personal care to patients in their homes under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Work hours may vary based on the needs of the assigned patients, and nights, weekends, and holidays may be worked as assigned.
The role of the Home Health Aide is to provide personal care to patients, including bathing and other hands-on care, as well as household services essential to health care. In addition, the Home Health Aide is responsible for:
- Completing appropriate visit records in a timely manner.
- Reporting changes in the patient's condition and needs to the RN.
- Ambulating and exercising the patient.
- Performing simple procedures as an extension of the therapy or nursing services, e.g., range of motion (ROM) exercises.
- Assisting with medications that are ordinarily self-administered.
- Attending in-service and continuing education programs as scheduled and necessary.
- Attends patient care conferences as scheduled.
To be qualified for this position, you must meet Medicare Conditions of Participation for Home Health Aide training program and competency and provide a copy of your completed certificate. This job works directly with the sick and the elderly, so a sympathetic attitude along with the maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of this position are critical. Because you will be providing healthcare to patients in their homes, reliable transportation is required. Some patients may need support turning or being repositioned, so this position does require a level of physical activity including heavy lifting, extensive bending, and standing.
All applicants must be able to pass a BCI background check and two-step PPD Tuberculosis test at the applicant's expense. Proof of CPR certification is required.
