**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our clinical team. The DON will be responsible for overseeing and managing the delivery of hospice care, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing leadership to both office and field staff. This role requires a Registered Nurse (RN) with extensive hospice experience and a strong foundation in servant leadership.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead, supervise, and manage the nursing staff and field team to ensure high-quality hospice care.
- Oversee clinical operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, including Medicare.
- Provide ongoing training, mentorship, and support to nursing and field staff.
- Spend 75% of time managing administrative and office duties, including developing care plans, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Spend 25% of time in the field, directly supervising and supporting field staff, conducting assessments, and ensuring optimal patient care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide holistic care tailored to patient and family needs.
- Foster a compassionate, patient-first environment through servant leadership.
- Participate in continuous performance improvement efforts and ensure the delivery of exceptional care.
- Serve as a resource for staff, patients, and families, addressing clinical concerns and providing guidance.
**Requirements:**
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a hospice setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a servant leadership approach.
- In-depth knowledge of hospice regulations, Medicare guidelines, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work well under pressure.
