Hospital Manager of Coding at Clinical Management Consultants

An outstanding hospital in Eastern Oregon is in search of a new Hospital Manager of Coding. 

This hospital has earned numerous awards for units throughout their facility. In addition, this 20+ bed hospital is accredited in many areas and is known for collaboration efforts and quality patient care. With the facility's Leapfrog “A” rating, the Hospital Manager of Coding will join an organization with an outstanding reputation in the community and across the Pacific Northwest. 

The Hospital Manager of Coding will report directly to the Director of HIM. Supported by an experienced team of coders, this Manager will be able to grow and flourish in their role. The ideal candidate will have experience in hospital coding and certification with AHIMA or AAPC. 

The Hospital Manager of Coding will be in charge of clinic and hospital coding and documentation improvement across the departments.  This involves keeping staff up to date with current best practices and making sure they are following guidelines set by the hospital in regards to timely, accurate, and complete coding of all hospital and clinic encounters. In addition, the position will act as the connector between clinical and operational leadership. The Hospital Manager of Coding will also need to focus on coding effectiveness and accuracy to improve utilization of the Electronic Health Record as a whole within the organization.
