Hotel General Manager - Hotel Katerina

Wage & Job Info: $105,000 - $115,000/year plus eligible for the GM Bonus Plan.

We are adding a new hotel to our portfolio. Hotel Katerina is located in beautiful Chico. We are looking for who has a strong background in Food & Beverage and is ready to be part of the opening team as well as lead the team once the hotel has opened.

The General Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring all financial and service standards are exceeded. This position is responsible for overall guest satisfaction and employee relations of the hotel, with enforcement of all company policies and procedures while adhering to sanitation and cleanliness standards. The General Manager will provide exceptional caring and genuine guest service at all times and uphold the company standards and culture.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: All duties and responsibilities of this position are to be performed with exceptional caring and genuine guest service upholding the Oxford Collection of hotels standards and culture at all times.

Operations (30%): The General Manager is responsible with the daily operations of the hotel overall ensuring the property meets sanitation and cleanliness standards. Oversee the control of operating costs. Communicate with guests and provide exceptional services and resolutions are provided. Communicate and investigates all employee and guest safety and other incidents. Completes monthly and quarterly budget reviews. Reviews invoice details, collections and reconciliations. Audits and corrects any discrepancies within the reservation system. Participates and leads in revenue management process. Effective communication within the hotel departments. Reviews and completes long term and short-term goals of the hotel. Manages cost control and expenditures. Regularly inspects property for cleanliness and overall presentation of the hotel. Continuous communication with home office.

Employee Development (30%): Completes and assigns the following processes to department managers: recruiting, hiring, training and employee development. Communicate and investigate any issues with regards to employee relations; simultaneously communicating to home office. Oversees the Safety Program and assists with RTW program. Review schedule and completes payroll.

Customer Relations (30%): Communicates clears, effectively and timely with guests in person and through other means of communication. Continuously reviews staff overall training and customer service.

Other (10%): Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Two or four year college degree preferred
• At least three progressive experience in a hotel or related hospitality field
• Prior General Manager experience preferred

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit
• Must have valid drivers license and meet company driving standards
• Must have strong computer skills
• Must have excellent organization and time management skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Long hours sometimes required, including nights, evenings and weekends
• Occasional overnight travel is required
• Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, and squeezing & overhead reaching occasionally:
• Must be able to work indoors or outside;
• Must be able to stand on feet throughout the day;
• Must be able to frequently lift up to 20 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs with assistance;
• Must be able to bend, squat crawl, kneel, push, pull, walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis;
• While primarily an indoor job, must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat);
• Must be able to climb stairs occasionally, both indoors and outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat).
