ABOUT THE ROLE
The Public Area Attendant is crucial in maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and functionality of various public areas within a hotel. This person is responsible for ensuring that the hotel's common areas, such as corridors, elevators, lounges, lobby, library, and meeting space are clean, well-maintained, and inviting for guests.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Schedule is 5:00PM-10:00PM
- Public Area Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of public spaces throughout the hotel, including corridors, hallways, elevators, lounges, the lobby, the library, and meeting rooms.
- Floor Maintenance: Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors in public areas regularly to keep them clean and free from debris. Address any spills or messes promptly.
- Furniture and Décor: Ensure that furniture and décor in public spaces are arranged neatly and well-maintained. Make adjustments to seating and décor arrangements as needed to maintain an inviting atmosphere.
- Lighting and Atmosphere: Monitor and adjust lighting to create an inviting and comfortable ambiance in public spaces. Replace light bulbs and fixtures as necessary.
- Trash Removal: Empty trash receptacles and replace liners in public area, maintaining a clean and tidy appearance.
- Decorative Elements: Dust and maintain decorative elements, such as artwork and plants, and keep them in excellent condition.
- Information and Signage: Keep information boards, directories, and signage up to date and in good condition.
- Safety and Security: Keep a watchful eye on public spaces to ensure the safety and security of guests and their belongings.
- Guest Services: Provide information about the hotel's services, such as dining options, transportation, and local attractions, to assist guests in making the most of their stay.
- Special Events: Assist in setting up and decorating public spaces for holidays, special events, conferences, or functions
- Other duties as assigned
