Role Overview:
As a Convention Hotel Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in the culinary team, supporting the Executive Chef in menu creation, food production, and kitchen management. You will ensure the highest level of culinary excellence and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in menu planning and recipe development.
- Supervise and coordinate food production operations.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff in proper food preparation techniques.
- Monitor food quality and presentation.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage food inventory and control costs.
- Collaborate with other departments to meet guest needs.
- Assist in hiring and training new team members.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a hotel or fine dining restaurant.
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred.
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
