Position Summary:
As the Housekeeping Supervisor it is your responsibility to organize, develop and direct the overall operations of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the facility. The Director of Housekeeping Services is to work with the Administrator to ensure the highest degree of quality housekeeping is maintained on the facility grounds.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Interview, hire, train, supervise, evaluate, and discipline personnel within the laundry and housekeeping department
· Create job assignments and set priorities for daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly duties.
· Orient new staff and participate in recruitment and selection
· Keep employees informed of all changes that will affect them
· Follow all company policies and state and federal regulations regarding Housekeeping services.
· Maintain required records, purchase supplies within budget, and notify Administrator immediately of any variances.
· Ensure staffing is within budget.
· Ensure all work areas and equipment are clean, safe and orderly
· Ensure strict adherence to procedures involving chemicals and hazardous equipment
· Ensure Universal Precautions are followed when necessary for infection control.
· Ensure department staff follows isolation procedures, fire, safety and sanitation practices and Procedures
· Be Knowledgeable and ready to fulfill the duties of Housekeeping/Laundry Aide as needed.
· Promptly address any hazardous conditions or equipment.
· Plan Housekeeping services in conjunction with other department heads and facility departments within company policies and procedures
-Participate in regularly scheduled conferences including department head meetings, general staff meetings, and other mandatory meetings.
· Ensure all aspects of environmental services are completed timely with adequate supplies available for environmental staff.
· Ensure quality of services performed is of the highest quality and meet company, state and federal regulations.
· Ensure Housekeeping services schedules are met or re-evaluated and changed to meet facility or residents needs
· Understand, comply with, and promote all rules and regulations regarding residents' rights
· Perform and maintain daily audits of Resident rooms, common areas and ensure that they are up to facility standards
· Monitor and complete all Tels work orders associated with Housekeeping or Laundry
· Review and audit each Housekeepers daily cleaning log to ensure it is being completed and accuracy.
· Monitor that all Housekeeping carts are cleaned, free of personal items, and locked at all times.
· Submit Daily and weekly audit reports to the Administrator
· The facility should always be clean and presentable for Residents, staff, and visitors.
· All other duties as assigned by administration.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
