The Hotel Zamora, a beautiful boutique hotel located in St. Pete Beach, FL, is seeking an experienced Houseperson. With stunning views overlooking the Intercoastal Waterway and Gulf of Mexico, the Hotel Zamora provides a luxurious retreat for its guests. Besides relaxing in the beautifully appointed guest rooms, our guests experience intuitive service in our Rooftop Lounge, Sidewalk Restaurant, Private Dining, and Meeting/Banquet space. The Hotel Zamora is under new ownership and management with Sherman Associates, an accomplished and proven real estate development and management company. The Housekeeper is responsible for the operations of cleaning rooms, public space cleaning, laundry production and other related areas of the hotel. Work closely with the Housekeeping Supervisor to cover days off and train staff, help with scheduling and other duties as assigned.
Schedule: We are currently seeking both part-time and full-time availability to include both weekdays and weekends.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Clean guest rooms in accordance with established quality and performance standards to allow a sufficient quantity of vacant and clean guest rooms for sale
- Report, turn in, all lost and found items from guest rooms, and throughout hotel
- Enter guest rooms following procedures for gaining access and ensuring vacancy before entering
- Replace dirty linens and towels with clean items, make beds and fold towels, and clean bathrooms
- Replace guest amenities and supplies in room
- Remove trash, dirty linen, and room service items
- Check that all appliances are present in the room and in working order
- Straighten desk items, furniture, and appliances
- Vacuum carpets and perform floor care duties (e.g., in guest rooms and hallway)
- Dust, polish, and remove marks from walls and furnishings
- Organize and stock cleaning cart and organize linen closets on floors assigned
- Perform other duties as requested (i.e. cleaning unexpected spills; executing special guest requests)
- Report/communicate any maintenance needs found in guest rooms while cleaning
- Assist other housekeeping associates in maintaining clean and organized work and public areas
- Anticipate customer needs with the ability to change goals and direction quickly
- Maintains customer service and excellent relations with guests, visitors, vendors and other external or internal organizations
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
- Meet standards for room completion with quality results

Required Experience:
Minimum Requirements
- No prior housekeeping experience required
- Related hospitality or commercial cleaning experience preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow directions
- Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
- A passion for the mission, vision, and values of Sherman Associates
- Schedule may vary due to the specific needs of the hotel
- Ensure compliance with brand standards, federal, state and local hotel laws regarding health and safety services
