Required: High School Diploma or its equivalent.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of the practices, procedures and policies of OCHA and Federal regulations governing the provision and oversight of the Housing Choice Voucher Program.
Ability to implement, without supervision, continuing assignments requiring the organization of material, the preparation of reports and the making of decisions within the framework of policies and procedures.
Must be able to communicate well, both orally and in writing, with OCHA staff, residents, property owners and the public.
Knowledge of the general operations and procedures of the Housing Choice Voucher Program.
Knowledge of the regulations affecting OCHAs housing programs and demonstrated ability to understand the terms, conditions, and content of the HCVP regulations.
Knowledge of the proper OCHA procedures for collecting, processing, and recording HCVP transactions.
Skill in the operation of commonly used office equipment, especially the use of personal computers (e.g. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Must have the ability to learn other computer software programs as required by assigned tasks.
Skill in providing instruction on the HUD and OCHA program requirements to applicants and current voucher participants.
Skill in customer service and tenant relations.
Ability to perform program-required computations with speed and accuracy.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and persons outside of the Authority.
Must be able to sit and/or stand for up to eight hours at a time while performing work duties.
Must be able to use fingers bilaterally and unilaterally to operate office-related equipment.
Must have vision and hearing corrected to be able to perform essential job functions.
Must be able to maintain punctuality and attendance as scheduled.
Must be able to perform essential job functions in an environment that will sometimes include increased levels of work-related stress.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must attain Housing Choice Voucher Occupancy certification within one year of employment.
