Job Purpose
About this Position:
The Site Lead of HR Business Partners at IAP will partner and build strong relationships with leaders and key decision makers in relevant functions and business units to achieve business success through HR Initiatives. The position takes a holistic approach to proactively identify HR issues, resolves business challenges, and propose solutions. This role will serve in a mentor role to help support the HRBP by providing guidance and solutions to their challenges.
Key Accountabilities
Responsibilities include:
• Lead daily management of team that provides HDMA – IAP HR Business Partner services.
• Lead and guide HDMA-IAP in the area of Labor Relations in order to maintain union free status. Train and mentor HR-P associates as well as future HDMA leaders.
• Assist in the development of human resource policies.
• Research HR emerging issues and trend to inform strategic business decision and HR strategy as it relates to key areas of responsibility.
• Communicate and facilitate company level initiatives as appropriate such as Regional Compensation and Promotions, Performance Management, etc with Department Leads.
• Lead as a strategic business partner with IAP regarding HR business plan initiatives or themes.
• Manage key projects and support as assigned.
• Advise on and coordinate regarding Exempt and Non-Exempt associates’ adherence to company policies and procedures with exit interviews, leave of absence, etc.
• Manage and support with associate movement process and evaluating documentation to ensure aligning with company policies, budgets, etc.
• Support HDMA Legal team as needed.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Who we are seeking:
Required Work Experience:
• 6 years of equivalent relevant work experience
Required Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in human resources or other related Business or Psychology field
Desired Skills:
• Working knowledge of Kronos, Microsoft Word, Excel PowerPoint, PeopleSoft.
• Good analytical and presentation skills.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
Additional Position Factors:
• Open-office environment
• Travel 2-5 days annually for training and/or special projects
• May require travel between plants/locations
• 5-8 hours of OT per week.
