Job Title:HR Onboarding Assistant
Location:Laurel, MD (Hybrid)
Hourly Rate:$23/hour

Position Overview:
Ultimate Staffing has partnered with a local non-profit organization seeking an experienced HR Onboarding Assistant to join their team in a hybrid role based in Laurel, MD. The ideal candidate will have a dedicated background in onboarding and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This role focuses exclusively on managing the onboarding process to ensure new hires have a seamless and positive experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end onboarding process for new hires, including conducting background checks, reference checks, verification of certifications, and completing new hire paperwork
• Ensure that all required new hire paperwork is complete and accurate prior to orientation.
• Prepare and distribute onboarding materials such as employee handbooks and benefits information
• Set up new employees in HRIS and other internal systems, ensuring all information is accurate and complete
• Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires during the onboarding process, addressing any questions or concerns
• Collaborate with various departments (IT, Payroll, Benefits) to ensure new hires have the necessary tools and resources for a smooth start
• Monitor the onboarding process and continuously identify ways to improve efficiency and the new hire experience
• Maintain detailed onboarding records to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a dedicated onboarding role, with a track record of successfully managing onboarding processes
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in HRIS and onboarding software
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
