Human Resources Director
Healthcare – Cook County, IL
The Human Resources Director will provide human resource functions to the facility including employee recruitment, retention, benefits administration, and personnel policies as well as processing bi-weekly payroll. The ideal candidate for this position is an outgoing, self-starter with the ability to multitask. Experience as a Human Resources Manager in a long-term care facility is required.
Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly payroll.
- Reconcile timecards.
- Maintain accurate, neat, organized employee files in accordance with federal regulations.
- Act as a liaison to the employees and administration.
- Educate facility personnel on policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate OSHA files in accordance with current regulations.
- Organize and conduct general orientation.
- Oversee the full cycle recruitment activities.
- Processing candidate reference checks, background checks, and License Verification.
Human Resources Director Qualifications and Skills:
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Demonstrate basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Diligent and firm with high ethical standards.
- Knowledge of data analysis and reporting.
- Outstanding communications and interpersonal skills.
Human Resources Director Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or Technical Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent degree preferred.
- 4-5 years of experience in Human Resource Management or management of personnel.
- Thorough knowledge of human resource management principles and best practices.
- Expertise in State and Federal Employment Laws.
- Prior experience in long-term care required.
