JOB SUMMARY
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for providing HR guidance and support to the human resources team, operation's leadership, and staff.
DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNTIONS
- Provides support and guidance as a subject matter expert to the Human Resources Business Partners (HRBP) and business line leadership regarding people-related matters, compliance, employment laws, align HR practices with business goals, and ensuring organizational effectiveness.
- Oversees the day-to-day supervision of the HRBP's and human resources operations.
- Serves as an advisor by consulting and coaching leaders and employees on policies, challenges, and areas of opportunities they may have.
- Empowers leadership and HRBP's to handle people matters confidently.
- Assures reported concerns are promptly and thoroughly investigated by the HRBP's and will be responsible for personally investigating the more difficult employee relations claims.
- identifies issues, and proposes appropriate action, if necessary, that is consistent across all companies.
- Leads organizational change initiatives with proven ability to influence leaders to required outcomes in applying best practice principles in employment law, compliance, workforce planning, succession, engagement, total rewards, and compensation.
- Coaches supervisors and staff, as necessary, on providing timely and meaningful "in the moment" feedback-during check-in sessions, and during performance review conversations as well as the importance is issuing timely corrective actions and performance improvement plans when appropriate.
- Independently design, own, lead, and successfully implement human resources operations initiatives and projects.
- Ensures compliance with labor regulations.
- Serves as a global subject matter expert for an assigned human resources program across all companies.
- Fill in for HRBP by taking on their responsibilities when out or there is an influx of work.
- Assures all unemployment claims are responded to and completed.
- Assists the Director of Human Resources on claims such as but not limited to EEOC, DOL, and lawsuits.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have previous work experience as a senior human resources generalist, or HRBP.
- Must have a strong working knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must be skilled with working with various computer operating system.
- Must keep up to date with employment laws and regulations.
- Ability to build collaborative and productive working relationships.
- Works well in a fast-paced environment, flexible, able to change direction quickly and manage projects through ambiguity and constant change.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, able to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously while delivering on commitments.
- Excellent communication skills in written and verbal form.
- Solid sense of accountability, high-quality judgment, and sound decision-making.
- Ability to handle confidential information and deescalate issues.
- Sets the example of professional standards, emotional intelligence, and integrity for others to follow.
Preferred
- Bachelors degree strongly preferred. May consider experience in leu of degree.
- 5 years Sr. Generalist or HRBP experience preferred.
- Some previous supervisory duties strongly preferred.
