Summary
The spirit of the Hygiene Executive Committee is to support our local hygiene teams and to provide exceptional comprehensive care within their respective regions. Reporting to the PCDM Operations Team, our committee members will work closely with upper management, collaborating on both strategic initiatives and aiding in field level implementation and auditing.
Term: This position is for a period of one year, to be reevaluated at the end of the term.
Responsibilities:
The Hygiene Executive Committee Member will spend half a day, once a month, performing their assigned responsibilities. The time will be reserved as a block within your existing schedule, so as not to exceed your current weekly hours. There is no increase in working hours for this committee.
Please note: responsibilities of the hygiene executive committee are done virtually
- Auditing: You will be charged with auditing charts to ensure comprehensive care has been provided by the hygienists within your region.
- Reporting: Auditing and coaching summaries to be summarized in a weekly report back to Operations providing training efforts, observations, successes, challenges, and solutions.
- Hygiene Executive Committee: Once a quarter, the committee will meet with upper management to discuss progress, areas of improvement, and weigh in on key strategic decision making as it relates to PCDM's hygiene program.
- Introduction of New Initiatives/ Technology: As dentistry continues to evolve and we find new and improved methods of diagnosing and treating disease, committee members will be invited to participate in launching new products/ technology to our hygienists across the organization. Participation in the launch committee is optional and in addition to the auditing role.
Qualifications:
- Must have been an employee minimum of six months.
- Knowledge of the general principles of dentistry and advanced knowledge of dental hygiene.
- Demonstrates the ability provide exceptional comprehensive clinical care.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to complete tasks and work independently and within a team construct.
Education Requirements:
- Minimum associate degree and the successful completion of a recognized vocational program in dental hygiene.
- State license in good standing required.
Work Environment & Compensation:
- Work is to be done virtually.
- A yearly stipend of $10,000 to be paid quarterly.
