Travel experience highly preferred. Patient Ratio 1:2, occasionally 1:3 if lower acuity patients. Orientation is 3 shifts. EMR: Epic. Will float to Cardiac Surgical ICU, Telemetry, IMC as needed. Must have strong ICU/Tele and Critical Care skills.Patient population: MICU, SICU Surgical Abdominal, Neuro cervical spines, and post ops. Cardiac Medical, MI, Chest Pain, Pneumonia, vents, Sepsis, ARDS, Cardiogenic Shock, OD, Post cath. No trauma. Age range: 18 and over, occasionally 15-17 year olds if adult like. Special equipment: Vents, CRRT Next Stage, IABP, Proning (Pronation Therapy) - experience is HIGHLY preferred. NM or educator likes to ask candidates a critical care scenario with signs and symptoms and expected interventions, including the pharmacology interventions.Unit Specific Procedures and Protocols: Pressors and sedations drugs. I.E. Epi, Lido, Milrinone, Precedex, cleviprex, Nicardipine, Propofol .Facility bed count: 247. Unit Beds: 28 (average daily census 10-14). Scrubs are not provided, must be NAVY. Minimum jewelry and nails must be natural- no gel or acrylic. Shoes must be close toed and non-skid. Required Upon Submission: ACLS, BLS are required. CCRN & NIHSS are highly preferred. Will accept ENPC in place of PALS. Valid MD license verified through NURSYS only. No temp licenses are allowed.COVID vaccine required.
