About The Position
**Job Title:** RN Clinical Nurse - Critical Care (ICU/CCU) **Job Specialty:** Registered Nurse / Licensed - Inpatient **Job Duration:** 13 Weeks **Shift:** Day - 6:45am to 7:15pm **Guaranteed Hours:** [Not specified] **Experience:** Experience with direct patient care is preferred. **License:** Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN - Multi-state Compact **Certifications:** - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Instructor - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Instructor or Provisional **Must-Have:** - Ability to read, write, and speak the English language - Basic computer skills and ability to optimize technology for clinical care - Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills - Customer service skills - Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies decisively, composed, and respectfully - Excellent time management and critical thinking skills **Job Description:** - Perform the Nursing Process including assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practice. - Ensure individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care. - Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care reflective of cultural diversity. - Partner with patients and significant others to focus on patient goals. - Coordinate delivery and documentation of safe quality patient care. - Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration and support recruitment and retention of healthcare team members. - Participate in performance improvement, research, and shared governance. - Complete all professional competency assessments and mandatory and population-specific education. - Serve as a preceptor or mentor for other professionals ensuring a qualified future workforce. - Promote evidence-based practice, research, and performance improvement in nursing. - Uphold organizational policies, procedures, and legal standards. - Participate in data collection and consult experts for evidence-based practice questions. - Plan proactively for patient care across the care continuum. - Develop protocols and collaborate to achieve best practice outcomes, such as reduced re-admissions. - Support efficient and effective use of resources. - Perform other duties as assigned while complying with all system policies and conduct codes.
