Job Overview:Approximately 100 miles southeast of Fairbanks, Fort Greely provides a truly one-of-a-kind experience to work, live, and play in a scenic Alaskan location with endless opportunities. At Fort Greely, Wolf Creek Federal Services, Inc. (WCFSI) provides support for the Missile Defense Command, with a primary focus on maintenance and repair.
Work and live in a unique remote location surrounded by wildlife and breathtaking scenery. Enjoy year-round outdoor adventure including hiking, fishing, dog sledding, and aurora watching. Fort Greely is conveniently located nearby Alaska’s two largest cities: Anchorage and Fairbanks. These locations provide many big city amenities including shopping, dining, and nightlife.
This role is responsible for all aspects of work performed on site, including cyber operations information technology, and Integrated Electronic Security System (IESS). Manages the activities of all ISSO, Network Analysts, and Sensor & Controls for the Missile Defense contract.

Responsibilities:Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Directs all ISSO’s, network analysts, sensor & controls and schedules security activities on the Missile Defense Complex.
- Assist with the assessment and authorization (A&A) of standalone computers and networks.
- Oversees information systems security and information technology.
- Gather necessary information to maintain security and establish functioning external barriers, including firewalls and other security measures.
- Review systems to identify potential security weaknesses, recommend improvements to amend vulnerabilities, implement changes, and document upgrades.
- Maintain responsibility for managing Cybersecurity risk from a business and agency perspective.
- Identify organization risks, prioritize those risks, and maintain a risk registry for escalating and presenting those risks to senior leadership.
- Generates and maintains security documentation for system hardware and software.
- Assess the performance of Information Assurance (IA) security controls within the IT infrastructure.
- Identify IA vulnerabilities resulting from a departure from approved procedures and plans.
- Evaluate potential IA security risks and take appropriate corrective and recovery actions.
- Research, evaluate, and provide feedback on problematic IA trends and patterns in customer support requirements.
- Perform system audits to assess security related factors within the IT infrastructure. Review response actions to security incidents.
- Maintain a repository for all system accreditation/certification documentation.
- Directly Supervises ISSOs and Union technicians.
- After-hours call availability to dispatch technicians.
Mandatory:
- Valid Alaska State Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain SECRET level clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Security + and CompTIA Level II certifications within six months of being hired.
