Job Description:
Position: Medical-Surgical Cardiac Nurse
Reports to: Medical-Surgical Cardiac Nurse Manager
Summary: Provide specialized nursing care to patients with cardiac conditions, including those undergoing cardiac procedures and surgeries.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' cardiac status, including heart rate, rhythm, and blood pressure.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with cardiac conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments, such as antiarrhythmics, anticoagulants, and beta-blockers.
- Monitor patients for cardiac complications, such as arrhythmias, heart failure, and pulmonary edema.
- Educate patients and families about cardiac conditions and their management.
- Assist with cardiac procedures, such as cardiac catheterizations and coronary artery bypass grafts.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
- Associate's degree in Nursing or equivalent.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of cardiac nursing.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
