Job Description:

Position: Medical-Surgical Cardiac Nurse

Reports to: Medical-Surgical Cardiac Nurse Manager

Summary: Provide specialized nursing care to patients with cardiac conditions, including those undergoing cardiac procedures and surgeries.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' cardiac status, including heart rate, rhythm, and blood pressure.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with cardiac conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments, such as antiarrhythmics, anticoagulants, and beta-blockers.
• Monitor patients for cardiac complications, such as arrhythmias, heart failure, and pulmonary edema.
• Educate patients and families about cardiac conditions and their management.
• Assist with cardiac procedures, such as cardiac catheterizations and coronary artery bypass grafts.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
• Associate's degree in Nursing or equivalent.
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of cardiac nursing.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
