IP Client Specialist - Adams & Martin Group

A full-service intellectual property law firm is looking for an IP Client Specialist for their DC office.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience patent prosecution with a multi-office law firm
• Ability to coordinate time entry and invoicing with billing coordinators
• BA degree and paralegal certificate
• Must live in the DC area
  • Preference for contract-to-hire, open to direct hire
• MUST be familiar with electronic case management and USPTO rules

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage filing of design patent, and utility patent applications in the United States
• Review correspondence from USPTO for docketing
• MUST be able to jump in and work independently without much supervision
• Open files and prepare documents for filing:
  • Patent applications, Preliminary Amendments, Information Disclosure Statements, Responses to Missing Parts, Assignments, Amendments, payments of Issue Fees
• Maintain client portfolios

Salary: $80-$100k/yr.
