About the Job
The Identity and Access internship provides practical experience of providing role-based access to users as well as securing accounts. Interns will be provided real-world experience utilizing security tools to ensure access meets the HIPAA Security Rule.
The Identity and Access teams will utilize an intern to assist the team with seven unique user access reviews which are completed each year and need to be submitted as part of the yearly RSM audit. Other projects will be assigned based on current trends and developments in the security realm.
IS Information Security Internship is looking for intern to possess the following skillset:
1. Analytical Skills: Ability to assess and analyze data.
2. Technical Proficiency: Familiar with software such as Excel and general IT knowledge.
3. Problem-Solving skills: Capacity to identify issues and help develop practical solutions promptly.
4. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting findings and collaborating with team members.
5. Attention to detail: A meticulous approach to accurately handling tasks and documenting processes.
6. Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to group projects.
Degree programs that would best fit this internship include Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or Data Analytics,
The working hours of this internship are Monday through Friday. The time will be 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Must be current undergraduate college student or graduate college student. Specific educational focus or degree may be preferred depending on the hosting department of the internship. Specific license and/or certification may be preferred depending on the hosting department of the internship. GPA of 3.0 or above Submission of Cover Letter Resume and Letter of Recommendation. Other qualifications may vary by department of internship.
