Position Summary:
The IT, Mac Administrator position play an important role in ensuring optimal functionality, performance, and user experience across all apple devices and software solution used by the company. He / she will work closely with global teams and end users to deploy, configure, maintain, and support apple products, primarily focusing on Mac computers and any other apple devices. The candidate must be team-oriented, flexible, accountable, and work on multiple priorities in a fast-paced collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities:
The IT, Mac Administrator position play an important role in ensuring optimal functionality, performance, and user experience across all apple devices and software solution used by the company. He / she will work closely with global teams and end users to deploy, configure, maintain, and support apple products, primarily focusing on Mac computers and any other apple devices. The candidate must be team-oriented, flexible, accountable, and work on multiple priorities in a fast-paced collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities:
- You will directly contribute to the overall IT strategy that supports and delivers the best-in-class services and outcomes to our customers.
- Responsible for the configuration, security, deployment and performance of all Apple devices hardware and software used by the end user both remote and on-site.
- Provide patch management and firmware updates for all Apple devices. Ensure timely distribution and installation of updates to maintain device security, stability, and compatibility.
- Administering Apple operating system installation and application packages using MDM solution such as JAMF to enforce security standards, device compliance and data protection.
- Re sponsible for the support and maintenance of the Mac OS and various Apple endpoints. Provide tier two support for all global apple issues that cannot be solved by tier one support.
- Assist with the development with training and documentation delivering materials to educate the end users on the effective use of Apple productions, including device features, and application tools.
- Work with global IT teams that includes IT administrators, systems engineers, and software developers to ensure seamless integration of Apple products within the organization.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend latest Apple technologies changes, new releases, features, and updates to determine their impact and relevance to the organization's needs for adoption.
- Assist with Onboarding/Offboarding and IT request ticketing system SLAs.
- Track all issues and resolution through a ticketing system and provide regular feedbacks for improvements.
- Work with vendors as needed to maintain the infrastructure and resolve issues.
- Performed other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- Apple Certified (Apple certified Support Professional or Apple Certified Mac Technician)
- 3 + years hands-on experience with Apple products, including Mac OS, iOS, and associated software.
- Experience with MDM solutions (i.e., JAMF, Intune)
- Good understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP), security best practices, and device management solution (Example, JAMF).
- Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
- Knowledge of Linux Operating System a plus.
- Be able to work on Mac command line, comfortable in Bash scripting, and PowerShell command.
- Proven abilities to work independently, IT teams, and business users.
- Ability to work under pressure and within strict time constraints while working in a changing environment with continually changing direction and requirements.
- Self-directed and capable of taking initiative.
- Working conditions are normal for an office and warehouse environment.
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to travel domestically and internationally for business (% if needed)
