Bruker OST LLC in central New Jersey is a leading designer and manufacturer of superconducting wire. Our materials are used in superconducting magnets for a variety of applications in medical technology, analytics, fusion energy research and high-energy physics. One main area of application for our products is in magnetic resonance imaging and nuclear magnetic resonance. Bruker OST belongs to the BEST division (Bruker Energy & Supercon Technologies) within Bruker Corporation, a public company (BRKR) with over 7,500 employees and over 90 locations around the world.
For the location in Carteret, NJ we are now looking for an IT Manager full-time, permanent.
Responsibilities:The IT Manager is responsible for the overall management of the company's information technology (IT) infrastructure and systems. This includes planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining all IT systems and services. The IT Manager also works with the CIO, IT teammates at sister company sites, and Bruker corporate IT to develop and implement the company's IT strategy.
Duties/Responsibilities
• Development, implementation and updating of the IT architecture aligned with Bruker Global IT framework
• Implementation of data security management according to Bruker Group's InfoSec specifications and policies
• As a valued business partner, IT at Bruker OST works closely with the business to help streamline business processes, digitizing and automating where possible, by designing, building, supporting and continuously improving applications within an Agile framework, using low-code development tools and SQL back end
• Management of the internal IT department of currently two employees (helpdesk/support/administration and business analyst/developer)
• Management of strategic vendor IT relationships including VAR's, ISP's
• Oversee network and data center operations including monitoring, troubleshooting, site video, data backup/restore, WiFi, conferencing equipment, telephony, DHCP, DNS, print server, file server, SQL server always keeping data security in mind
• Oversee server, network, and client hardware lifecycle management
• Oversee ITSM service desk ticket system, providing upper tier support when needed
• Assist with budget planning and tracking including license management
• Contribute to developing and implementing Azure cloud migration strategy
• Cooperation with the parent company in relation to SOX, PWC / audits, security management (ISMS/ISO27001), corporate binding rules, data privacy
Qualifications:• Successfully completed studies in computer science or comparable training and certification
• Several years of professional experience in IT operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Good experience with modern IT architectures in the areas of network, telecommunications, security, Microsoft server technologies, preferable both on-premise and Azure cloud
• Experience using and supporting Microsoft Office 365 suite including Teams, advanced Excel
• Knowledge of Microsoft VBA and MS Power Platform technologies desired
• Experience with low code data driven web application development
• Knowledge of JavaScript, Python, PowerShell,
• Knowledge of MS SQL Server administration, security, tables, views, backup, queries, stored procedures, functions
• Skilled with project management and change management
• Knowledge of Active Directory infrastructure management including security groups and group policies
• Experience with VMware administration and MS SCCM
• Experience with data backups/restore, preferably Veeam
• Knowledge of Cisco networking including VLAN management
• Customer and service-oriented leader with very good communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within teams, able to delegate as well as work hands-on when needed
• Familiar with ITIL best practices for delivering IT services to the business colleagues
• Experience with data analysis, data visualization/dashboarding products desired (Qlik Sense, SAP Analytics Cloud)
• Experience with OPC-UA for Industrial IoT data capturing a plus
• Understands the importance of creating and maintaining good documentation
